Zafar has a Master of Business Administration from the S P Jain School of Global Management and a Computer Science Engineering degree from Visvesvaraya Technological University. He also holds certifications as a Project Management Professional, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Cisco Certified Network Professional and ITIL.​
