Opening Address - Chris Crowell
Chris Crowell is a veteran technology leader with extensive experience in the enterprise software, telecom and network solutions sectors.
Chris currently serves as Vice President of Corporate Innovation at Volta – Canada’s East Coast innovation hub. There, he has built partnerships with organizations like Accenture, Grant Thornton, McInnes Cooper and many of Halifax’s scaling tech companies.
Prior to joining Volta, Chris served as the CMO for Mariner Partners and Head of Global Technology Partnerships at OpenText, where he led Canada’s largest B2B software partner ecosystem. Chris began his career with Bell Canada where he had P&L responsibility for consumer wireline operations and IP strategy.
Chris holds a degree in Mass Communications from Carleton University and a L.L.B and MBA from Dalhousie University where he was a past recipient of the Outstanding Young Alumnus for his work as founder of East Coast Connected and organizer of the Atlantic Business Summits in Toronto. Chris is currently completing executive education in corporate innovation at Stanford University.
