​Presentation Synopsis:  As technology continues to evolve at an unprecedented pace, organizations are increasingly looking to digital transformation to stay competitive and meet the evolving needs of their customers. However, in the midst of this rush to adopt new technologies, it is important to remember that people are at the heart of any successful digital transformation.   Organizations must prioritize building a culture of digital fluency, empowering employees with the right skills and mindset to effectively utilize new technologies and drive innovation. 

What are three takeaways people will have after attending your session?

1. People are the ones who will ultimately determine the success or failure of any digital transformation initiative within an organization. While technology can certainly play a role in enabling change, it is ultimately the people within an organization who will determine whether a new system or process is adopted and used effectively. 
   
2. For digital innovative solutions to be successfully adopted in a market there needs to be a focus on the customer and user experience .  People are the ones who will be impacted most by any digital transformation innovation. While digital innovation can bring many benefits, it can also disrupt existing processes and ways of working and day to day life. This can lead to uncertainty, resistance, and even fear among employees and customers who may be unsure about how their roles or life will be impacted.  
   
3. Organizational structure plays a crucial role in driving the culture for innovation within an organization. A well-designed structure that promotes collaboration, creativity, and risk-taking can foster an environment where innovation thrives, while a rigid or hierarchical structure can stifle innovation 

​​Speaker Biography:  Natalie Ripp is an experienced IT professional with 10+ years of experience in FINTECH. She holds a degree in Economics from the University of Ottawa and is a certified Project Management Professional PMP® and Agile practitioner (CSM & CPO). Natalie has a passion for project execution and has led many complex, cross-functional digital transformation initiatives.  She is currently the Sr. Director, Digital Payments at RBC where she leads Digital Cheque Processing and transformational programs for Merchant Payments.
Throughout her career, Natalie has gained extensive expertise in FinTech and in-depth knowledge of various project management methodologies which enables her to design and implement innovative solutions that streamline financial operations and drive business growth. She has a keen understanding of the latest trends and emerging technologies in the industry, and uses this knowledge to create tailored strategies that help her teams achieve their goals.
