He is currently part of the PMI Social Media Advisory Group leadership team.

This presentation will pull back the covers on ProjectManagement.com and show you how to get at the content, collaboration opportunities, tools and templates, articles, blogs, recorded and live webinars and how to earn badges, build your network, sharpen your PM skills and automatically earn PDUs/CEUs. If you are engaged in or advise on Portfolio, Program and Project Management, you will find much value on PMI’s new integrated virtual community platform, and if not, the content on this site can help you sharpen your skills, increase the quality of your work and rub your virtual shoulders with a global group of virtual colleagues. This presentation will illuminate those opportunities for you.
Background:
The Project Management Institute (PMI) as of last year had about 36 virtual communities of interest to which PMI members could subscribe. This resulted in many “stovepipes” or “verticals” that made it hard for PMI members to find content of interest unless they happened to know which community provided it. GanttHead.com, a million member premium provider of a collaboration space for project managers and anyone else who cared to visit, changed its name to ProjectManagement.com. The collaboration space provided an area for the submission of tools, templates, discussions, blogs and much rich content all related to the management of portfolios, programs and projects. Curated content was offered to members who paid a premium.
PMI recognized that a change was needed to integrate their virtual communities and in 2014 purchased projectmanagement.com, adding to its features, and providing no-cost premiums access to its members. The site remains open to anyone, providing the opportunity for PMI members to network with project managers and those with similar interests from around the globe, whether or not they are members of PMI.
This presentation will be of interest to project managers, management consultants, business analysts, quality analysts and anyone involved in projects as managers or team members.
