Communication of Cybersecurity Risk to C-Level Stakeholders
Presentation Synopsis: Through his experience in cybersecurity, Krishna has developed a focused commitment for the development of a sustainable, cybersecurity skill base to meet the increasing demand in Atlantic Canada. He has been invested and engaged in the progress of higher level education to enhance the ability of the next generation of cybersecurity professionals in delivering aligned support to government and business entities within Atlantic Canada. Krishna currently contributes to cybersecurity education programs in Nova Scotia and he has been presenting and collaborating extensively on the topic of appropriate and effective documentation, as he has recognized a significant gap in the ability of cybersecurity resources to communicate risks and recommendations to C-level decision makers.
Speaker Biography: Krishna is the Director of Consulting, responsible for leading CGI's Atlantic Cybersecurity and Privacy Practice which is based in CGI's Halifax, NS office. Having provided Cybersecurity and Privacy services, primarily to the Government of Nova Scotia and their clients for the past 10 years, Krishna brings over 20 years of Cybersecurity and Privacy experience. Krishna is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). Krishna has led many high-priority, Cybersecurity and Privacy Risk Assessments for the Province of Nova Scotia and has been a primary contributor to the Province of Nova Scotia's Cyber Security and Risk Management Strategy and Policy Review initiatives.
Additionally, Krishna's experience includes the development, implementation and management of the strategy, governance and frameworks used to manage Cybersecurity for Governments and large Financial organizations.
